John D. Borbi was born in Roebling, New Jersey and graduated from Florence Township High School. During his high school years, Mr. Borbi worked alongside of his father and other family members at the historic Roebling Steel Mill manufacturing steel and wire mesh. Mr. Borbi then attended the University of Delaware where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. While attending the University of Delaware, Mr. Borbi played intercollegiate football for the Blue Hens under legendary coach Tubby Raymond. Following college, Mr. Borbi attended the University of Dayton School of Law and received a Juris Doctor Degree in 1990 with honors. Following law school, Mr. Borbi joined the firm of Parker, McCay and Criscuolo in Marlton, New Jersey, where he specialized in defending area hospitals, physicians, businesses and insurance companies. During this period of time, Mr. Borbi successfully tried over one hundred (100) Jury Trials and was the youngest attorney in the State of New Jersey to be granted the designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney at the age of 31.
James M. Clancy is a partner and head of the Workers' Compensation Department. Mr. Clancy received his undergraduate degree from Lynchburg College in Southern Virginia in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor degree from the Delaware School of Law in 1989. Mr. Clancy joined the firm in 1990, concentrating on workers' compensation law, wrongful termination, social security, and public disability pensions and employee rights.
Mr. Clancy was one of the first attorneys awarded the designation of "Certified Workers' Compensation Law Attorney" by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1998 and was the youngest attorney certified in that field of law. Mr. Clancy is a member of The New Jersey Association for Justice and serves as co-chairman of the Workers' Compensation Committee. In that capacity he is responsible for providing continuing legal education to attorneys throughout the state. He is also active in the Burlington and Camden Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committees.
Ms. Patrizi is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, she was a litigation attorney with private defense firms and insurance house counsel, where she defended and represented numerous insurance companies and claims.
Ms Patrizi conducts jury trials throughout the State of New Jersey and Philadelphia in all major personal injury matters. Recently Ms Patrizi obtained 3 separate excess jury verdicts in personal injury matters that required the insurance carrier to pay over their policy limits. Her trial success is very well known throughout the State of New Jersey.
Ms. Patrizi resides in Marlton, New Jersey. She is married and is a mother of two children. She and her husband are active in the community and with the Marlton Recreation Council in coaching youth sports.
Caroline Granato, Esquire, is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, Petit School of Law. She was a member of the Law Review and ranked third in her class. Ms. Granato grew up in Southern New Jersey and returned to practice there after completion of law school. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey State Court and the Federal District Court of New Jersey. She is an active member of New Jersey Association for Justice.
From 1987 – 2006 Ms. Granato practiced civil litigation in many New Jersey courts. During that time, her focus was on representing individuals injured as a result of automobile accidents, sexual assault, slip and fall accidents, dog bites, and dental/medical malpractice. The experience included all aspects of litigation, and she has tried many cases before juries to verdict. Ms. Granato also has experience arguing before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
In 2006, Ms. Granato became an approved, full-time arbitrator in the New Jersey Automobile Insurance Arbitration program. Throughout her tenure, she rendered over 5,000 awards with cases involving issues of causation, medical necessity of treatment/testing, insurance coverage entitlement, income loss, and more.
Having now joined the firm, following her tenure as an arbitrator, Ms. Granato is again handling all aspects of civil litigation, helping injured individuals and their families.
Ms. Granato resides near Mullica Hill, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
John Patrick Borbi is a senior trial attorney here at BCP focusing on all aspects of personal injury matters and claims. Mr. Borbi was raised in Medford, New Jersey graduating from Shawnee High School. While at Shawnee he excelled in both the classroom and on the athletic fields where he was team captain for both the lacrosse and football teams winning two State Championships.
Mr. Borbi obtained his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona where he graduated with Honors studying Political Science and Theology. Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Borbi obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio. While at Dayton, Mr. Borbi was a member of the mock trial team and volunteered at the community legal center providing free legal services for those who could not afford representation.
Following law school Mr. Borbi became the Law Clerk to the Honorable John E. Harrington, Presiding Judge, Civil Division, Burlington County. During that time Mr. Borbi wrote many of the judicial opinions for the Court and managed a substantial docket of cases. Prior to working for Judge Harrington, Mr. Borbi also interned at the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office as well as several law firms in South Jersey. Mr. Borbi joined BCP in September of 2018; he appears and argues cases for falls, automobile, and other accident related cases throughout all counties in New Jersey. He also appears on behalf of clients in Workers Compensation Courts throughout the state. Mr. Borbi is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, Camden County Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association and Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club in Beach Haven, New Jersey.
Mr. Borbi resides in Collingswood, New Jersey with his wife and their two rescue dogs.
